You might be wondering, what exactly is NADA? The NADA protocol (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) is a specialized form of 5-point ear acupuncture. Developed over 50 years ago, it has been widely used to support emotional and physical well-being. By targeting five specific points on the ear, NADA helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and restore inner harmony.

The concept is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where the ear is seen as a map of the entire body. Stimulating these ear points encourages the body’s natural energy flow (Chi), promoting relaxation and healing.

What to Expect During a NADA Session

When you arrive at the clinic for Holistic Health, or when we arrive to the agreed meeting place, we will begin with a brief consultation to understand what kind of treatment is best for you. Together we will find your personalized health plan. Our first meeting can also be online. 

If we decide for a single chair NADA session, you will settle into a comfortable chair while fine, sterile needles are gently placed on the five points of each of your ear.

The session lasts around 45 minutes, – a time for you to relax, unwind, and allow your body to restore itself. We prefer you just to sit and relax, without any electronic devises. If this is difficult, you might want to bring a book or so. 

Many clients experience a calming sense of relief during and after their session. While some notice immediate relief, others experience gradual improvements over multiple treatments. We typically recommend a series of sessions for the most beneficial results.
